Simpson SJ10a WebLgeSonic Motor Racing Services had there full squad of drivers belted into the new Mygale SJ10a cars for their first test day at Winton last week. ( Fri Jan 29 – 2010 ).

The team debuted the new cars and were pleased with the results.  “Although it is just a shake down, we have been happy with the competitiveness of the cars straight out of the box!” said Sonic team principal, Michael Ritter.

Sonic will be looking to take advantage of the new aero package that the SJ10a cars have, as well as testing the new light weight rolling gear on the cars. 

For 2010, they are looking to back up their increadable success scince taking on the French Formula Ford.  Sonic have the most enviable record of wins in Formula Ford with two AFFC championship trophies in the last three years.

Mygale owner, Greg Woodrow is happy with the cars and feels that Sonic will be the squad to beat again in 2010.  “I think Sonic have some good young guys behind the wheel, and as always will be on top of the game.” Greg said.

The season starts at the Australian F1 Grand Prix event at Albert Park on the weekend of March 27/28.
