The eighth and final round of the 2009 Genuine Ford Parts Australian Formula Ford Championship took place last weekend on the Gold Coast at Surfers Paradise.
This tricky town circuit celebrated Sonic Racing driver Mitch Evans in his Mygale who won 2 of the 3 races there and then secured his 2nd place in the championship, and 1st place in the Rookie ranking!
This brilliant result is to be added to his teammate Nick Percat’s 1st place in the championship celebrated at Philip Island!
All the Mygale drivers have again proved this year the extraordinary performance of the Mygale chassis and managed to beat the Spectrum squads on their homeland 19 times out of 23 races throughout the season!
Mygale would like to thank them all for their great successes and contribution to the Mygale leadership in the Formula Ford championships worldwide.
Indeed, 2009 has been a great season for the French manufacturer with championship wins in Australia, Benelux and UK, plus a superb hat trick at the Formula Ford Festival!
