M11-bath-jlbAfter a stunning debut meeting at Bathurst last weekend Mygale’s Formula 3 teams head south to Tasmania’s Symmons Plains Raceway for round two of the Australian Drivers Championship this weekend.

After a stellar showing at Bathurst, where F3 rookies Nick Foster and Jack LeBrocq proved immediately competitive against a high quality field, the Team BRM and Erebus Academy drivers will be looking for further improvement at the challenging Symmons Plains circuit where Mygale made its Australian Formula 3 debut last year.

This year the pair head to Tasmania armed with the latest Mygale M11 Formula 3 car, a car that proved its competitiveness against the incumbent Dallara chassis when it won the Italian F3 Championship and the Italian F3 European Series last year.

LeBrocq set the fastest lap during race one at Bathurst which meant he started from pole position in race two, therefore claiming Mygale’s first ever pole position in Australian F3.

Foster showed his class by claiming a podium position during race two after storming through the field in damp conditions. Starting in seventh the Team BRM driver pushed reigning champion James Winslow for second all the way until the end of the race and claimed his maiden podium in just his first F3 outing.

With a solid weekend of racing now under their belts expect the two Mygale drivers to be pushing towards the front of the field at the fast Symmons Plains circuit.

Practice commences tomorrow for round two of the F3 Australian Drivers Championship, with qualifying and two races on Saturday to be followed by a third and final race on Sunday.
