Mygale take the lead in F3 Euro Series

2012-img-F3-Vallelunga-latifi60Another dominant weekend from JD Motorsports driver Ricardo Agostini at Vallelunga has seen the 18 year old assume the lead in the Italian F3 Euro Series.

Agostini was dominant during proactice and qualifying, placing his Mygale on pole for the weekend's first and second events. Agostini dominated Race One to take his fifth win of the year, and recovered to finish third in Race Two after being pushed into the gravel on the first lap.

The third event of the weekend featured a reverse grid and Agostini skilfully managed to avoid a four-car pile-up that occurred on the opening lap around the “Curvone” bend that eliminated Agostini's main championship rivals.

Immediately jumping up second, behind his JD Motorsports Mygale team-mate Nicholas Latifi, the Paduan driver drove a measured race setting the fastest lap and taking second place at the chequered flag, securing the Rookie championship a round in advance, and taking the first Mygale One-Two in the series.

The JD Motorsport’s driver assumes the lead of the Italian F3 European Series, two points ahead of Brandon Maisano, and second in the Italian Championship, just one point behind the Prema driver.

The final event of the 2012 season will be at the famous Monza circuit on the weekend of October 20-21.
